Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Blues on the Beach in Southern California, the DOHENY BLUES FESTIVAL announces its final lineup for this year’s event, held in Dana Point Harbor on May 20 & 21, 2017. Headlining this year’s anniversary celebration is the legendary JOE WALSH, MELISSA ETHERIDGE’sMEmphis Rock & Soul, JASON BONHAM’s Led Zeppelin Experience, roots rocker CHRIS ISAAK, and soul legend MAVIS STAPLES. Single Day tickets are on sale now.

For 20 years, the Doheny Blues Festival has created a festival environment like none other. The cornerstone of the event is three alternating stages of blues, rock and soul music, with legendary artists alongside rising stars, all held at the beautiful beachfront venue of Doheny State Beach. This year’s lineup may be the strongest in the event’s history, led by legendary Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh and platinum-selling artist Melissa Etheridge.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame guitarist JOE WALSH is best known for his contributions to legendary sound of The Eagles, as well as his early work with the James Gang, and his guitar work on “Hotel California” has been named the #8 Greatest Guitar Solo by Guitar World Magazine.  Also headlining the festival is Academy Award and GRAMMY-winning artist MELISSA ETHERIDGE. One of rock music’s great female icons, Etheridge will take the Doheny stage with a revamped horn-driven band to perform songs from her latest album “MEmphis Rock & Soul,” a soul-ute to Stax Records.

Joining Joe Walsh and Melissa Etheridge is JASON BONHAM, son of legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, as he continues to carry on his father’s legacy in a tribute to one of the biggest rock bands of all time. Plus, hit-making crooner and acclaimed roots rocker CHRIS ISAAK will make his first appearance at Doheny Blues, along with Blues Hall of Famer and recent Kennedy Center Honoree MAVIS STAPLES.

“Year 20 is a proud milestone for any festival, so we want to celebrate the history of American Blues & rock music with a star-studded lineup,” says Rich Sherman, festival producer and president of Omega Events. “Given the recent passing of Chuck Berry and James Cotton, we feel an honor to feature music legends, while continuing to introduce our fans to exciting new artists.  This year’s lineup may be our strongest in Doheny’s history.”
